What is a "Registered
Mental Health Counselor
Intern"?:
Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns are
counseling professionals who have completed their
Masters Degrees in Mental Health Counseling and
are working toward full licensure. All Florida State
counselors must complete, at the minimum, two
years of post-graduate "internship" under the
supervision of a State approved clinical supervisor,
and pass the National Certified Counselors exam
prior to becoming fulling licensed. (more)

Dr. Santiago has been a site supervisor for Troy University
and Webster University interns doing their practicum’s at the
VA, a clinical supervisor for registered mental health
counselor interns working at the VA, as well as a faculty
clinical supervisor for USF mental health counseling
